[ MOOD ] Distressed
It hadn't even been ten minutes, and her roommate was already fuming in rage at her. Deep down, Madeline couldn't blame her roommate; she would've freaked out just the same if her roommate turned out to be the owner of a party sized bag full of bugs. But why was Gwen yelling at her as if this was her fault?! Normally, her patience was pretty thick, but that irritated her a little. She was only human, after all. It didn't help that she was already distressed from the bug fiasco... and the fact that she tossed her entire backpack off the second floor! Or didn't she remember?!
"I'm obviously not the one who shoved that grossness into my backpack! I was screaming, remember?" Madeline responded, distressed and a little snappily before turning a little sarcastic. "Oh yeah, and I also tossed my backpack out the window!"
She felt a little bad for snapping at her roommate like that, but she didn't dwell over the guilt much. She rushed down the stairs, thanks to the mob of move-in students crowding the elevator. "Dear heavens, I knew I should've invested in a Venus Flytrap! Or some other carnivorous plant." In fact, the moment she had downtime, she was going to bus or walk over to the nearest store with Venus flytraps on sale.
Shoving the front door open, she rushed outside and saw a lumpy, light sandy brown backpack bunched up on the ground. Shards of glass twinkled around it from the sun's reflection. It could have been art. If there weren't an uncomfortable amount of bugs populating that one square foot patch of ground.
As much as Madeline wanted to check up on her belongings, she skidded to a stop, almost gagging at the sight. Who in their right mind would want to proceed further into that bug-infested site? But panicking wouldn't get anything accomplished. So, forcing herself to calm down a little, she turned a little sheepishly toward her roommate, "Can you call pest control or something, Gwen?"

Location: Inside Dorm C107 Mood: Neutral
Twiddling her thumbs, Elunia paced back and forth a bit in front of the door. What if Azalea wasn't in the dorm? What if she had gone out for a walk? What if she decided not to open the door to Elunia because she was angry? She cringed a bit at the thought. What if elephants fell down from the sky? What if flowers started to talk to you? What if the sky disappeared? You're asking stupid questions, Lune. Her inner self yelled. A voice interrupted her thoughts with, "Oh really? Give me a second. I'll get up and open the door." Azalea couldn't see Elunia's expression because the door was still closed, but she had an expression of relief. All of her paranoid thoughts disappeared once Azalea had said something. Sometimes, Elunia could be such a worrywart. "Alright." She called back through the door.
Patiently waiting, Elunia's thoughts began to swallow her up again. Would she see Pierce again? Or would he avoid her? She was a bit worried about Azalea avoiding her as well, but perhaps she could apologize and make amends soon. 'Soon' as in right after she could get in her room again. Elunia let out a mental groan again at her ability to lose everything; starting from her necklace to her key. Who knew what else she lost? Her shoe? Her eyes drifted a bit downwards to look at her shoes just to double check (they were still there).
The door to C107 opened with a click and it then revealed a girl with long brown hair cut evenly, unlike her own, and bright blue eyes. Oh right, that was Azalea. Even in such a short timeframe, Elunia still had a terrible memory. She hadn't been able to survey how Azalea had looked since she was in such a rush to find her necklace; she had just remembered the sole name. Azalea's eyes were really a nice shade of blue and Elunia suddenly wished her eye colour wasn't such a lame colour like silver.
"I see you've found what you're looking for. Must have been important, huh?" Azalea's voice once again broke Elunia's thoughts, and on that note, Elunia's eyes widened. She hadn't realized that she was still holding the necklace and that Azalea noticed! She quickly clasped the necklace in its rightful place and gave Azalea a shy smile, which wasn't like her at all. "Yeah." She murmured, then raised her voice, not wanting the same thing that happened with Pierce to happen with Azalea. "I mean, yes. Yes, this necklace is really important to me! It's actually from my brother, who I left back in England." Elunia gave Azalea a bit of a sheepish look. "Luckily, our room neighbour person found it on the ground and gave it to me. His name is Pierce." She explained.

Gwen listened and disagreed with how the events played out, but she kept it to herself. She hid her anger well, years of her mother's anger made her apathetic to other's anger, but was Madeline snapping at her? For what?! Being angry that an entire bag of bugs was released in their tiny room. She would be angry too if it was her that let loose a bunch of insects. It wasn't just a few and it wasn't just one type of insect, it was an entire bag of different species of crawlies. A couple of deep breaths later and a nice 10 seconds later of zen later she began thinking about the situation. Of course she didn't think the girl packed those bugs. Logically, if Madeline was a bug lover she wouldn't have packed them in a suffocating plastic bag, but then how in the world did they end up there!? She batted her hair once again, paranoid that there was still one clingy bug in her hair, sighing, "Perspective Gwen. Who cares, as long as all of her things were ok and bug free." she thought to herself.
As her friend rambled on about carnivorous plants or fly traps, she wasn't sure, but while she was talking they reached the ground floor and she saw all of her roommates things. She felt a sort of empathy for her. At least her things had a chance, Madeline's things were broken and done for, and to add insult to injury covered with bugs. "Well if there was a silver lining in this whole mess, you can get a cuter bag." she said trying to make her feel better.
"Can you call pest control or something, Gwen?"
"Sure." she said pulling out her phone and dialing information. Several minutes later and some bribing she got a guy to come over. She walked back over to her roommate and smiled, "You wanna go get something to eat? I am starving, and you can show me all the good places to eat around here." she said with a comforting smile.

Madeline sobered up a little at Gwen's little remark about getting a cuter bag. The comment itself didn't really make her feel better, but the fact that she thought it would make her feel better did. She couldn't help but giggle a little. Gwen was really a nice person - she shouldn't have snarled at her with her snarky remarks the way she did.
A guy running pest control rushed to the scene soon after Gwen called, and Maddie gave him a small smile as a thanks. "If you could save the stuff for me please - I'll pick them up once the pests are gone. And, uh, the window also cracked. Um, sorry!"
She truly did feel bad over this issue, but he appeared to have everything under control. Returning her attention to Gwen, Madeline felt truly grateful for the kind smile and comfort her roommate was offering her.
"I have a disease where I can't eat gluten, so it limits my diet," Madeline began. "But I do know a few places. The corner pastry store sells the most delicious deluxe sandwiches. But there are places all around. Let me show you!"
She led the way, zigzagging through shortcuts. The pastry store was a classy, one-story building, but the neighboring buildings were two stories jam packed with restaurants of all sorts - from cheap, local foods to high-class, fancy delicacies.
"Anything catch your eye?" Madeline asks with a wide smile.
